Heavy Hail Hits Kakheti Villages

Several villages in Akhmeta Municipality, Kakheti were hit by a strong hail which destroyed orchards and vineyards of the locals.

The villages: Matani, Sakobiano, Duisi and Omalo were affected the most.

As reported, the hail also flooded roads, first floors of the houses and gardens.

A special commission has already started working in the disaster zone, which will count the damage inflicted.

The information about the compensation will become known after the commission completes its works.

The representatives of the local government have arrived in the villages to talk to the locals.
