Georgian Actor Zuzu Bezhashvili Found Dead

Georgian actor Zaza (Zuzu) Bezhashvili was found dead in the elevator of a block of flats on Dolidze Street, Central Tbilisi on August 16.

The reason for his death is unknown. The body was transferred to the National Forensics Bureau.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies suicide.

As reported by the people who live in the block of flats where the actor was found dead, the man did not live there. Bezhashvili was found in the elevator by one of the locals. His body is said to appear uninjured.

More details will be known after the results of the forensic examination.
