Stamba Hotel, Tbilisi, Among the 100 World’s Greatest Places
According to Time magazine, small Georgia hosts one of the world’s greatest places.
It is not a secret any more that Georgia is becoming more and more touristic. In 2017, 7.5 million tourists set foot on Georgian lands. On August 23, Time released its first annual list of the World’s Greatest Places in which a Georgian hotel earned a place: Stamba.
The Stamba hotel, located in the emerging travel destination of Tbilisi, opened at the beginning of the summer in a Soviet-era publishing house. The building also boasts a casino, a pool and a small chocolate factory with nostalgic references to the 1930s.
The Time list of greatest places includes museums, restaurants, bars and hotels chosen based on criteria including influence, quality, originality, innovation and sustainability.
Time is an American weekly news magazine, with the world’s largest circulation for a weekly magazine. The print edition has more than 26 million readers.
