Journalism and Youth: The South Caucasus Media Forum
The international South Caucasus media forum entitled "The role of the media in building confidence in the region" will be held in Tbilisi on September 4-7, where lectures of prominent figures of journalism and political science for young journalists and observers will be featured.
The forum will bring together leading experts in the field of the media industry, journalists, government officials and bloggers from Georgia, Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. The main topic of discussion during the forum will be the features of the regional political culture, traditions and current trends in the activities of the media of the South Caucasus states, the political and legal foundations of their status, as well as the potential of media communities in overcoming conflicts and strengthening stability in the region.
The main speakers will be Deputy Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Alexei Vishnevetsky, ITAR-TASS Military Observer Victor Litovkin, President of the International Council of the Association of Russian Society Researchers (AIPRO-XXI) Gennady Bordyugov and Deputy Head of Sputnik Georgia Tato Lashishvili.
