Double Robbery Sentence

The Tbilisi City Court sentenced two detainees for robbery and assault on a man in Tbilisi.

The incident occurred in January this year on Bakradze Street near Kura River. According to the investigation, the two detainees attacked a man and threatened him with a knife; they took his mobile phone and 500 GEL after which they fled the scene. The suspects were detained four days later.

The first defendant was found guilty for repeated robbery and received a 10-year sentence, and the second was found guilty of robbery, receiving an 8-year sentence.
