Passenger Traffic at Georgian Airports up by 25%
In January-August 2018, Georgian airports served a total of 3,375,959 passengers, 25% more compared to the same period of 2017.
The information was released by the United Airports of Georgia.
During the first eight months of 2018, Tbilisi International Airport served 2.565.226 passengers. In August alone, Tbilisi Airport served 461,051 people, which is 12% more compared to August of last year.
Batumi airport saw over 121.298 passengers in August 2018 which is also 12% more compared to the same period of 2017. The eight-month data reveals that the airport served 422.888 passengers.
Passenger traffic in Kutaisi International Airport has increased by 35%. The airport served 382.325 people in eight months while in August it saw 44% more passengers.
The local destination airports in Mestia and Ambrolauri received 5.520 passengers in the first eight months of 2018.
