Regional Conference on Supporting Ties between Research and Industry
This week, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport hosted a regional conference at Tbilisi State University titled "EU4Innovation: Promoting Research-Industry Partnerships," supported by Tbilisi State University and the European Commission.
The conference was arranged within the scope of the Europe 2020 strategy, which includes 20 major objectives. The conference serves the 20th objective – integrating Eastern Partnership and EU research and innovation systems and programs. It was also the first international, regional event in the framework of the renewed Eastern Partnership structure after the Eastern Partnership Summit in November 2017.
Approximately 80 delegates from the European Commission representing six countries of the European Union and Eastern Partnership states participated in the conference.
The conference was part of Tbilisi State University’s Science and Innovation Festival 2018, which ran from September 22 – October 2, which presented a number of scientific and cognitive events, including exhibitions, public lectures, conferences, trainings, workshops, open days, and presentations of the latest scientific publications and projects.
