Tbilisi to Host Night of Photography

Tbilisi will host the “Night of Photography” on 26th September. The annual festival sees at least 10,000 people attending to enjoy some of the best images from across the globe. Over 100 photographers’ works from 15 different countries will be displayed on 10 large media screens in the streets of Old Tbilisi, between the baths of Abanotubani and Gudiashvili.

Selected photographers from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will be present, as well as talent from Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, Lithuania, Russia, Afghanistan, Egypt and Turkey. The show is sponsored by 28 different festivals, agencies, organizations and publications including the Angkor Photo Festival, Kaunas Photo Gallery, Liberali Magazine, National Geographic Georgia, Beat Project, Metography Agency (from Iran) and Tbilisi Photography House.

The festival was held in Tbilisi for the first time in 2010 and has become an annual event since in the city. The Jetbird, a local band, will open the festival at 19:00 in Shardin Square and at 20:00 people can enjoy the festival.
