Georgia to Manufacture Jackets of World-Famous Brands
Georgia's state-led Partnership Fund and China's Jiangxi Huazhao Enterprise management have signed a deal in Shanghai, according to which, a new jacket-making factory will be opened in western Georgia, in the town of Tkibuli to make high-quality jackets for local as well as international markets.
The total cost of the project is $5 million and the new factory will employ about 300 people at the first stage.
The relevant agreement with the Jiangxi Huzhao Management Company was signed during Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze's visit to Shanghai.
The meeting between Bakhtadze and the management of the company discussed Georgia's attractive investment environment and the opportunities the Free Trade Agreement with China offers to both Georgian and Chinese companies.
Special emphasis was also placed on Georgia's export potential and the Chinese International Import Expo, participation in which will increase the country's visibility and encourage growing investments.
