Georgian Qvevri Wine Exhibited in New York

Qvevri wine producing companies from Georgia participated in the International Wine Exhibition "RAW Wine" held in New York. 

More than 100 wine producers and thousands of guests from around the world attended the exhibition. With the support of the National Wine Agency, 6 Georgian enterprises took part in the event to showcase their wine. Guests had the opportunity to taste Georgian qvevri wine as well as learn more about the ancient traditions of the production process, culture and history of the country. 

According to the data of the past 10 months of the current year, 400,000 bottles (0.75l) of wine have been exported to the US, a 1% increase when compared to the same period last year. 

RAW Wine is a platform bringing artisans of wine together, as well as their importers, potential importers, wine producer associations, trade professions and wine amateurs.
