Georgian Wine Wins Gold Medal in Uzbekistan

During the Tashkent International Tasting Competition 'Eastern Vine,' the participating Georgian wines won gold medals. 'Akhmeti Red' and 'Kvevri Kisi' of the Research Center of Agriculture Research Center received gold medals, while 'Simonaseuli' was awarded a special gold medal along with 'Solomnishvili Winery.'

Within the frameworks of Innovative Technologies and Modern Trends in the Development of Viticulture and Winemaking, competition on degustation of wine was held in Uzbekistan Scientific-Technical International Conference.  Levan Ujmajuridze, director of the Agricultural Research Center at the conference, presented the "Modernization of Viticulture and Wine Prospects in Georgia". The conference was attended by France, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, Central Asian countries and other representatives.

During the conference, International Wine Festival “Wine Art” was displayed, where Georgia was given a separate pavillion. The Georgian corner received great interest and appreciation.

The main aim from the Georgian side was to promote wines from traditional and restored old Georgian grape varieties and raise awareness in Asian countries.
