Ministry of Education Holds Vocational Education Donor Coordination Meeting

The Vocational Education Development Department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport organized a coordination meeting for representatives of international and donor organizations that implement a variety of projects to promote vocational education in Georgia. The meeting was attended by the EU Delegation to Georgia, the US' Millenium Challenge Account, the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ), UNDP, the World Bank (WB), the Green for Growth Fund (GGF) and others. Officials from the Department of Education presented the activities that were conducted by the Ministry in the fourth quarter of 2018 and introduced future plans to the attendees.

Representatives of international partner organizations presented the status of their ongoing projects and future plans.

The Ministry of Education maintains that to successfully implement their vocational education reform plan, it is critical to coordindate the various activities being conducted by international organizations. Quarterly meetings facilitate information sharing and optimal distribution of resources to achieve results - says the Ministry.
