Bakuriani Bypass Road in the Works

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has announced that it will build a 3 km bypass road in Bakuriani. The ski resort town 25 km southeast of Borjomi is infamous for the traffic jams that plague its singular main street during the winter season.

The new road will cost upwards of 6 million GEL and will be financed by the European Investment Bank.

The project is scheduled to be completed by spring 2019.
