Direct Flights Ankara-Tbilisi to Begin Next Month

Georgian Ambassador to Turkey, Giorgi Janjgava, held a meeting on November 21 with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

It is now evident that topics raised during that meeting have produced a tangible outcome - new direct flights between Ankara and Tbilisi.

During last month's meeting, says Ambassador Janjgava, he brough up the issue of direct flights, and Erdogan was immediately supportive.

Direct flights, operated by Turkish Airlines, will begin in exactly one month's time on January 18, 2019.
