Tbilisi-Batumi Trains Equipped with Libraries
Georgian Railway has installed mini-libraries in its Tbilisi-Batumi trains. Now passengers have the chance to cover the long distance between the two cities in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere while reading books.
The libraries comprise a variety of Georgian and foreign books of different genres, in Georgian as well as in English.
It is interesting that along with the books provided by Georgian Railway, travelers can also donate books to the libraries.
The Head of Georgian Railway Service Quality Office Dachi Tsaguria stated this initiative aims to promote the culture of reading on public transport and make travel more interesting and pleasant. He also said the project is to be expanded to have all other operating trains equipped with libraries.
