Computer Learning to be Integrated into Georgian Education Reform
Sandro Asatiani, IT expert with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, introduced yesterday a new concept of computer learning at a presentation at the Ministry attended primarily by teachers. Asatiani presented new technologies that can be used to teach IT subjects at various education levels. After his presentation, Asatiani led a discussion with attendees, who used the opportunity to express their opinions about the concept.
The new Minister of Education, Mikheil Batiashvili, took office in mid-July and immediately began implenting major reforms within the ministry itself and for the country's education system. In September, the EU Delegation in Georgia pledged that they would be an active supporter of the Ministry during the process of reforming the education system,
Batiashvili sees developing the education system as Georgia's most important priority.
