Georgia-Abkhazia ‘Border’ Closed Due to the Spread of Swine Flu
There is an accelerated spread of viral infections across Georgia, the most dangerous of them being the H1N1 acute respiratory illness, also known as Swine flu. It has already claimed 13 lives.
The de facto authorities of the occupied region of Abkhazia have closed the so-called borders with Georgia passing through Pakhulani-Saberio, as well as the Enguri Bridge. The entry to the region has been restricted. The spread of Swine flu is named to be the major reason for the given decision.
The de facto sanitary chief, Lyudmila Skorik, has claimed that no H1N1 case has been reported in the region of Abkhazia as yet.
