Man Arrested for Forcing Juveniles into Intimate Messaging

A 31-year-old man was arrested by the police for forcing juveniles to have intimate correspondence with him via Facebook.

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports that the man was threatening the underage to disclose information regarding their private life/personal data.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 157 and Article 150 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The police launched the investigation after one of the parents addressed them, saying her 9-year old daughter was receiving text messages from a man asking for personal information and threatening to publicize her photos.

The mother of the child posted on Facebook that the man was asking the girl to keep it a secret that they were messaging each other.

“Many juveniles face the same problem…I do not know why their parents keep silent about this. We should speak out about such problems to help others avoid them,” the mother of the child wrote.
