World Tourist Guide Associations Meet in Tbilisi
From 20 - 25 January, the World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations Congress is being held in Tbilisi.
Over 100 guests from 60 countries are attending the conference. The meeting hopes to develop tourism guides in Georgia and promote tourism in Georgia. Participants are invited to share their tourism knowledge with each other.
Attending the first day of the event, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze stated “Today, there are people here who are creating the world of tourism. As the mayor of the city, I am glad that this meeting is being held in the Georgian capital… some participants will be introduced to our small but diverse country for the first time during the event”
Tbilisi was chosen to host the 2019 edition of the event at the previous convention held in Iran.
