Missing Georgian Sailor’s Body Discovered

The body of 22-year-old Georgian sailor Davit Razmadze, who went missing from a Turkish ship in Libya on 7 January, has been discovered.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry and Razmadze’s family were first notified of his disappearance a week later on 14 January via post.

Razmadze’s family last spoke with Davit on 6 January when he said he was sailing towards Libya on a Turkish ship. His family presumes he was arrested after leaving the ship. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are still unknown.

Two Georgian citizens are still working on the same ship.
