Tbilisi Likely to Get New Ropeways

New ropeways may be arranged in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

The information was released by Mayor Kakha Kaladze on January 23.

The Mayor said that the French company Systra conducted surveys in 2016-2017 which showed that development of the Tbilisi cable-rope network has great potential.

“New ropeways are likely to be installed in the direction of Samgori-Vazisubani and Akhmeteli theater-Tbilisi Sea District,” he stated.

Kaladze added that the mentioned routes are attractive for making investments.

He instructed the relevant services of Tbilisi City Hall to determine the best interestment routes and start working on this project.
