Georgian Honey to Be Exported to Europe
Georgian honey is showcased at the annual exhibition of the food, agriculture and gardening industries, called International Green Week, and taking place on January 18-27, in Berlin, Germany. The fair hosts more than 1 700 participants and displays over 100 000 products from different countries of the world.
Georgia presents a variety of products at the exhibition this year, however it is the first time that Georgian honey will be tasted by the European customers and other guests of the event. TAPLI is the brand name of Georgian honey used for the exports on the European market. The word TAPLI is the Georgian translation of honey.
The TAPLI brand was launched within the scope of the EU4Business project SME Development and DCFTA in Georgia, which contributes to the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Georgian stand at the International Green Week is organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, which also developed the TAPLI brand with support from the EU and the German government.
