Energy Efficiency Strategy to Be Implemented in Georgia
One of the world’s leading companies in the lighting industry, Signify/Philips, has expressed willingness to support the Government of Georgia in the implementation process of its Energy Efficiency Strategy.
The initiative was launched at the meeting held between the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Signify/Philips, Eric Rondolat, within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, on January 24.
Rondolat stated that the focus is being put on the energy efficient lighting of Georgia's streets and monuments, which will be introduced primarily in Tbilisi and later throughout the rest of the country.
Negotiations at the meeting were related to the 'Green Economy' project of the Government of Georgia, which comprises the development of organic production as well as the use of Philips technologies in the process of production.
