Public Parking to Be Arranged in Kobi
The Economic Conference, held at Tech Park Tbilisi on January 29-30, hosted a number of guests from different fields who examined the current position of Georgia’s economy and discussed the future plans for the development of the country.
Maya Tskitishvili, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, announced a forthcoming project to arrange a public parking area in Kobi in 2019.
The Minister focused on the importance of allocating particular territories for such purposes, which will help to manage the transport flow.
“Parking in Kobi will be arranged to serve guests in Gudauri. This will prevent the transport collapse that happens during the winter season at Gudauri ski resort,” stated Tskitishvili.
Tskitishvili also mentioned that a Kobi Development Plan has been introduced, which will give the opportunity to construct accommodation in the area to serve 1800 more visitors.
Various infrastructure projects have been carried out in Kobi of late. The given area is expected to become another popular tourist destination in Georgia.
