Charter Flights to Connect Tallinn and Batumi this Summer

Within the scope of the official visit to Estonia, the Chairman of the Government of Autonomous Republic of Ajara, Tornike Rizhvadze, made an important announcement regarding the flights between Estonia and Georgia. The Official has stated that Smartlynx Airlines will launch charter flights between Tallinn and Batumi this summer.

The flights will be carried out by the 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft from Tallinn Airport.

“Direct charter flights will increase the tourist inflows from Europe, a fact of paramount importance for tourism development in the region of Ajara,” Rizhvadze said.

The number of visitors from Estonia to Adjara increased by 80% in 2018.

The Chairman of the Government of Ajara has also attended Tourset 2019 in Tallinn. Tourset is one of the largest and the most influential travel trade fairs across the Baltic countries.

A presentation regarding the tourism potential of the region of Ajara was presented at the event.
