US Senators Present Sanction Plan against Russia

Yesterday, a new sanction bill against Russia was submitted to the US Senate by five US Senators. The increase in sanctions seeks to raise the economic, political, and diplomatic pressure on Russia for its illegal activities in Ukraine, Georgia and its support of Bashar-al-Assad in Syria.

The sanctions need to be approved by the US Senate, the House of Representatives and finally accepted and signed by US President Donald Trump before they come into play.
