FM Zalkaliani to Visit Geneva
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani, is to pay a visit to Geneva on February 25-26, where he will attend the High-Level Segment of the 40th Session of UN Human Rights Council. Zalkaliani will also deliver a speech at the given Session.
The representatives of Georgia will be given an opportunity to inform the international community regarding the reforms implemented by the Georgian government to improve the situation in respect of human rights in the country and ameliorate the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia, Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), including the grave violation of human rights on location.
Meetings are also scheduled between Minister Zalkaliani and the President of the UN Human Rights Council, President of the UN Human Rights High Commissioner, UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Head of the UN Geneva Office, Director General of the World Trade Organization, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, Director General of the World Health Organization, as well as with Foreign Ministers of various countries, within the framework of the official visit.
