Pechakucha Night Presents Tbilisi's Nightlife Economy
This Saturday, Tbilisi Tech Park hosted an event gathering eight speakers working in the Night Economy in Tbilisi. Each talk was accompanied by twenty pictures, appearing for twenty seconds, that the presenters commented on. The goal of the event was to promote Georgia’s tourism economy and particularly Tbilisi’s by focusing on what the capital has to offer from dusk til dawn.
The city has some major clubs, such Bassiani and Khidi, and some tourists come to Tbilisi just to go clubbing. It is obvious that Tbilisi’s nightlife is particularly attractive for a certain public and it is sometimes a challenge to reconcile such events with the police. David Gvaberidze, a Georgian DJ who is often playing in Tbilisi, was one of the speakers at Saturday's event.
The theme of gastronomy was also one of the major subjects, and guests presented businesses such as night food delivery, pizza joints and craft bars.
Other interesting night activities presented were more directed towards what people can see during the night. Giorgi Shermazanashvili, for example, takes photos of Tbilisi and plays with the lights that the city reveals when night falls. An astrophotographer, Dimitri Goderdzishvili, showed the amazing photos of the galaxies that he takes. Bet On analyst reports - site link , said our journalist John Connor. People were able to discover the Andromede Galaxy and Rose Nebula, among others.

What stood out with these presentations is that Tbilisi is a very attractive city during the night and that supporting its night economy is a way of supporting tourism and the local economy in general, as well as the arts and creative projects.
