Nenskra Hydro Launched Access to Mechanization Project in Svaneti

The Nenskra Hydropower Plant (HPP) Project company, JSC Nensrka Hydro has launched an Access to Mechanization Project in the villages of Chuberi and Nakra of Mestia Municipality. 

In the framework of the project, the community members of the two villages will be able to receive services related to agricultural and small infrastructural works with the heavy machinery.

Any individual or a group of individuals can now address the Nenskra HPP project company, using a simple application form, and receive respective services. 

The company has allocated up to ten units of heavy machinery especially for the Access to Mechanization Project. All the expenses related to using the machinery will be fully covered by JSC Nenskra Hydro.

Access to Mechanization is a social project that was designed based on the needs assessment of the local communities and is being carried out in partnership with the Mestia Municipality. The company presented the project during the community meetings held in Nakra and Chuberi on February 11 and 12, respectively. 

About Nenskra HPP Project: JSC Nenskra Hydro is a project-based company established 2015 as a result of cooperation between Korea Water Resources Corporation K-water and JSC Partnership Fund. The company will construct the Nenskra Hydropower Plant in the Nenskra and Nakra river Valleys in Mestia Municipality of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. The 280 MW Nenskra Hydropower Plant will generate approximately 1’200.00 GWh of electricity annually, which will be fully consumed by the Georgian market. www.nenskrahydro.ge
