OSCE Ready to Support Georgian Democratic Reforms
The Parliamentary Delegation of Georgia, headed by the Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze, is paying an official visit to Austria. A number of meetings, including the meeting with the OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger have taken place within the scope of the visit.
After the meeting, where the parties discussed multiple significant aspects regarding their collaboration, including cooperation for democratic reforms, Greminger expressed willingness to support Georgia in this case and regarding the refinement of the Georgian election legislation.
The representatives of the Georgian delegation and the OSCE leadership also discussed the aspects concerning the Georgian conflicts.
The OSCE Secretary General said that Kobakhidze had convinced him that Georgia aspires to remain in the position of the regional leader in democracy, rule of law and protection of human rights.
“The OSCE certainly supports Georgia when it comes to the election legislation, the court reform and transnational challenges like cybercrime,” stated Greminger.
