277 Jobs Offered to Presidential Admin's Dismissed Employees
Georgia’s Public Service Bureau has offered 277 vacancies in various agencies to the 63 employees of the presidential administration who were dismissed due to the reorganization which took effect after the election of the fifth President of Georgia - Salome Zurabishvili.
“The Public Service Bureau sent us 277 vacancies across Tbilisi. Now, we have to process this information and match the vacancies to the employees within one week, after which, we will contact the agencies and then the dismissed employees," the Administration said on Tuesday.
The first stage of the reorganization at the Presidential Administration started on January 15. 61 employees were dismissed as a result of the reorganization. Later, two further employees refused work in the new administration.
From December 17, the new Constitution entered into force which determined the new rights and responsibilities of the President of Georgia. Accordingly, in the Administration of the President of Georgia, the Law on Georgian Budget defines the staff will consist of just 60 people.
Under the changes reflected in the 2019 Budget of Georgia, the budget of the Presidential Administration will be GEL 6 million, down from GEL 9,800,000 in 2018.
The Presidential Reserve Fund, the budget of which last year was GEL 5 million, has been abolished.
Before the changes, 140 people were employed at the Administration.
