Attempted Armed Robbery at Tbilisi Bank

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has reported that several armed gunmen stormed a branch of Gladani Bank of Georgia on March 8.

The gunmen and security guards exchanged shots during the attempted robbery. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said nobody was harmed and “as of now, there has been no report of missing money.”

The attempted robbery took place in the 6th district of Gldani on the outskirts of Tbilisi.

Several hours before the incident, the attackers are reported to have stolen a car used in the attempted robbery.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the incident. The perpetrators have yet to be tracked down.
