Prime Minister Visits Japan

The Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze is to pay an official visit to Japan on March 13-15, during which the Georgian Official will meet with the Japanese Foreign and Finance Ministers, Taro Kono and Taro Aso.

There are meetings with the President of Japanese External Trade Organization Yasushi Akahoshi, the President of Nippon Export and Investment Insurance Masafumi Nakada and the President of Japan International Cooperation Agency Shinichi Kitaoka scheduled within the scope of the visit.

At the briefing held on March 12, the Head of the Georgian government announced that he will also visit the exhibition ‘Georgia – Homeland of Wine’, currently taking place in the capital of Japan, Tokyo, and focused on the importance of this event.

“This is a great opportunity to present Georgia not only as a homeland of wine, but as a country of ancient culture in Japan,” stated the PM.

Finally, Bakhtadze accentuated the chance for Georgia to demonstrate its business potential within the framework of the visit.
