Cases of Storage-Movement of Cigarettes without Excise Stamps Revealed in Zugdidi

The employees of the Samgerelo, Guria and Zemo (Upper) Svaneti Unit of the Tax Monitoring Department of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, have revealed the cases of storage-movement of cigarettes without excise stamps amounted to 39,200 in total, in the villages of Rukhi, Rikhe and Tchitatskharo of Zugdidi. The crime was unveiled as a result of the current control procedures, performed by the staff members of the Service.

According to the Section 5 of the Article 192 of the Tax Code of Georgia, the offenders have been confiscated of the goods. The case materials have been transferred to the corresponding court in accordance with the Article 241 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Georgia.
