Drugs Containing Narcotic Substances Found at Tbilisi Airport BCP
An attempted illegal import of drugs containing narcotic substances was discovered at the Tbilisi Airport Border Crossing Point (BCP) on March 6. On the basis of suspicion, after the examination of the luggage of a citizen of France, the customs officers of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia found 81 pills containing narcotic substances.
The case has been transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for further investigation. The employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained the citizen of France G.B., born in 1977, on accusation of the illegal purchase-storage and import of narcotic substances into Georgia. The investigation is being carried out according to Articles 260 and 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
