Undeclared Gold Discovered at Kutaisi Airport, Sadakhlo CCPs

On March 9,  on the basis of suspicion, after the examination of the luggage of a citizen of Israel M.L., the customs officers of the Revenue Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia discovered 149.91 gr of undeclared golden items with a total value of 16,673 GEL at the Kutaisi Airport Custom Crossing Point (CCP).

The case has been transferred to the Investigation Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia for the further investigation.

On March 15, on the basis of suspicion, after the examination of the luggage of citizen of Georgia M.A., the customs officers of the Revenue Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia found 66.45 gr of undeclared golden items, with a total value of 5,647.10 GEL at the Sadakhlo (Motorway) Customs Crossing Point (CCP).

In accordance with Section 10 of Article 289 of the Tax Code of Georgia, the offender received a fine of 5,647.10 GEL.
