Narcotics Discovered at Vale CCP

Fact of illegal attempt to import drugs containing narcotic substances was revealed at Vale and Customs Crossing Point (CCP) on March 22.

On the basis of suspicion, after detailed examination of the vehicle of the citizen of Turkey, the customs officers of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia found 254 pills of medicines containing narcotic substances.

The case has been transferred to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia for further investigation. The investigation is being carried out according to Section 1 of Article 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
