Discover the Batumi Tower
Batumi, Georgia’s summer holiday capital, grabs the attention of travelers and mesmerizes them with a perfect blend of calm, premium-class hotels, good restaurants and a colorful nightlife.
Located right next to the sea and close to Batumi Boulevard, one skyscraper always manages to intrigue city guests, who wonder what exactly is being built. We can tell you: it’s Batumi Tower, the highest building in the Caucasus, which even features its own Ferris wheel!
The building is distinguished in concept as well as design. The Batumi Tower project boasts the 5-star hotel Le Méridien Batumi, a casino, spa and fitness center, swimming pools and restaurants, with exclusive and fashionable residential apartments ‘Tower Residences’ to be located on the remaining floors of the complex.
The Tower is being constructed with the involvement of a number of parties. The building is owned by the real estate development company Redco. Its initial concept and the scheme for reconstruction was worked out by the Georgian architect David Gogichaishvili at the house development and architecture organization HAUSART. Along with foreign consultants and the representatives of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, the Georgian company Barnabishvili Gurgenidze Architects joined the next stage of the project, whose representatives worked with foreign consulting groups to fine-tune the visual side and the technical details. The interior design was worked out by the Rooms company designer David Koiava and fit-out & MEP works of hotel and residential complex Batumi Tower is supervised by CMC.
“The seaside city of Batumi in western Georgia mostly features 3-4-floor old European style houses and grid-like street planning. However, this style has gone through a major transformation in recent years, with the old houses substituted by modern and high-rise constructions. Redco purchased the building in 2015 with the aim to launch a 5-star hotel and premium-class residences there. Along with the two core functions, the placement of restaurants, bars, a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools and casino is planned,” stated architect Irakli Barnabishvili.
The construction of the majority of the building had already been completed by the time Redco purchased it. The 120-meter high, 35-floor building was already an example of high-tech architecture but, upon the request of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, owner of international brand hotels, extra spaces, including the lower tower, were added to the construction.
“The new spaces we got as a result of reconstructing the building are perfectly combined with the existing one. The same materials have been used for the façade and each change has been made with maximum caution, taking into account the existing concept,” Barnabishvili noted.
91 high-class residences in the most prestigious building in Batumi
Batumi Tower residential apartments are to be located between the 4th and the 33rd floors of the complex, all of them overlooking the stunning landscapes of sea and mountains. The fascinating atmosphere of the fashionable residences is to be enriched by the presence of the 5-star hotel Le Méridien, a casino, spa, fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and restaurants – everything needed to guarantee a high-class lifestyle and ensure comfortable vacations at the seaside resort.
Residents will have an opportunity to benefit from special discounts when using the hotel infrastructure, including the spa, pools and fitness center. A concierge service will be available 24/7.
What makes the Batumi Tower residences even more outstanding is the fact that the Georgian company Rooms worked on their interior and the furniture design. The designers say their main goal was to create comfortable and modern apartments. Taking into account that the apartments will be sold fully renovated and even furnished (upon client request), the designers created apartments with more neutral and balanced decor.
“We did our best to make the apartments appealing for any customer,” says Nata Janberidze, Rooms designer. “Ensuring maximum comfort was of crucial importance for us. The style is perfectly adapted to the seaside and reflects the lightness of the sea as well as the colors, with blue and navy-blue pastels dominating.”
Sales of Batumi Tower residences have already begun. The area of the apartments varies between 67 and 350 sq.m.
