Georgia’s GDP Grows by 4.6% in February 2019

The latest data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) reveals estimated economic growth in the month of February this year.

Geostat estimates that the real gross domestic product (GDP) in Georgia has grown by 4.6% with 4.1% year on year growth in January to February. In January, the rapid estimate of economic growth was 3.5%.

Currently, there are 4357 registered businesses in Georgia. Manufacturing, trade and real estate industries experienced increased growth compared to the same period in 2018, whilst the construction industry decreased.

The International Monetary Fund predicts that the Georgian economy will grow by 4.6% in 2019 whilst the World Bank has forecasted 5% growth.
