Zurabishvili Meets General Staff of Defense Forces

Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has met the General Staff of the Georgian Defense Forces for the first time.

General-Major Vladimir Chachibaia, First Deputy Chief of Defense Forces Colonel Nikoloz Janjghava, Deputy Chief of Georgian Defense Forces and Chief of General Staff General Zaza Chkhaidze and Deputy Commander of Georgian Defence Forces Brigadier General Shalva Jabakhidze attended the meeting.

The sides discussed the issues related to the Defense Forces of Georgia and the main challenges facing the Defense Forces.

In the end, the President and the General Staff of the Defense Forces set joint steps regarding future plans.

The President of Georgia is the constitutional Head of State of Georgia as well as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces.
