Secret Installation of Damaged Cars Appears in Tbilisi

This morning, an installation of damaged cars displayed upside down on iron bars appeared in Tbilisi. The installation should serve as a reminder to drivers to drive safely and obey speed limits.

The cars appeared on Tamarshvili Street, Chavchavadze Avenue and Vazha Pshavela Street.

At first, the reason for the installation was unknown. Tbilisi City Hall confirmed that the installation was agreed upon. They also reported that the installation was set up by a private company, although it is unknown whom. 

Road safety in Georgia posses a big problem. The number of accidents increased from 6,079 in 2017 to 6,452 in 2018, claiming the lives of almost 1000 people.
