Revenue Service Meets with Foreign Business Associations Reps
Director General of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Vakhtang Lashkaradze and Deputy Head of the Revenue Service Zurab Dznelashvili have hosted a meeting with the representatives of the foreign business associations.
At the meeting, the Director of the Revenue Service spoke about the challenges faced by the department and the upcoming novelties.
“The Revenue Service does not intend to inspect the business sector in order to apply financial penalties. Revealing cases of tax violation and preventing them is our primary goal,” he said, adding that in order to be trusted, active communication with tax payers, including the representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), is crucial.
The working meeting took place in a Q&A format which saw the parties discussing various issues and ways to solve them.
The heads of the business associations present were given an opportunity to get answers to their most pressing issues straight from the Director of the Revenue Service.
At the end of the meeting, on the behalf of the Revenue Service, Vakhtang Lashkaradze expressed the gratitude to the guests and noted that such meetings with the members of business associations will be held regularly and the active communication will continue.
