China and Georgia Sign an Agreement on Transportation
Georgian Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Maya Tskitishvili, was visiting China to participate to the Belt and Road Forum. On this occasion, she gave a speech and insisted on the importance to develop the Trans-Caspian international transport corridor. She also signed an agreement on cargo and passenger transportation with the Minister of Transport of the People’s Republic of China Li Xiaopeng. It is supposed to closer the two countries and make prices more competitive as well as imposing benefits for transportation. This goes in line with the promotion of bilateral trade and economic relations that was marked last year by the enforcement of the Georgia-China free trade agreement.
