Fulbright Scholarship Program Now Taking Applications

Applications to the 2020-2021 Fulbright Graduate Student Program are open as of Wednesday, the U.S. Embassy in Georgia announced.

The Fulbright is one of the most prestigious scholarships available: 37 Fulbright alumni have served as heads of state, 59 have been awarded Nobel Prizes, 72 are MacArthur Foundation Fellows and 86 have received Pulitzer Prizes, according to Fulbright’s website.

Recruitment is based on an open competition held by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Georgia and the International Education Center, Georgia. The program supports study in a master’s degree program at a U.S. university in any discipline.

The Program’s primary sponsor is the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State, and is co-sponsored by the Government of Georgia.

Additional information about qualifications and how to apply can be found on the U.S. Embassy website.
