Passenger Traffic Increased by 20% in Georgian Airports
In January-April 2019 the passenger traffic in Georgia’s airports has increased by 20% -1,208,422 passengers- which is 242,425 passengers more compared to the same period of the previous year.
The information was released by the United Airports of Georgia of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
In April, Tbilisi International Airport served 331,523passengers which is 12% more compared to the same period of last year (296,163passengers). In January-April, the passenger traffic at the airport increased by 11%.
Batumi airport saw over 36,532 passengers in April 2019, 16% more compared to the same period of 2018. The four-month data reveals that the airport served 88,448passengers which is a 30% increase compared to the same period of 2018.
Passenger traffic in Kutaisi International Airport increased by 89% in January-April. The airport served 224,314 people in four months while in April it saw 83% more passengers – 67,530 people. Last April it hosted 40,413 passengers.
