New Wine Festival
The 10th New Wine Festival will be held on May 11th in Mtatsminda Park. Wine Club, the host of the festival, and the upcoming New Wine Festival, mark their 10th anniversary this year. As usual, New Wine Festival 2019, is supported by its long-term partners – Georgian National Wine Agency and Tbilisi City Hall.
Anniversary novelties of the festival included the Pre-festival Wine Tasting on May 4th, featuring over 10 wines of 2009-2010 to celebrate the tenth birthday of the Festival and the hosting Club.
For the past 10 years New Wine Festival has been serving as a promoter of Georgian wine. Its main goals also include improving wine education in Georgia and enhancing consumer culture. The scale of the festival is ever-increasing; in 2018 the Festival brought together more than 200 entities – large, medium and small wine companies, associations and state organizations. The number is expected to go up in 2019.
The date of the New Wine Festival is traditionally big not only for the wine makers and cellars, but for Georgian and foreign wine professionals and wine writers, wine bars and restaurants.
The New Wine Festival is more like a public holiday in its sense and form. The entrance each year is free and its guests get a chance to anticipate hundreds of new wines, new varieties and new names.
Join the festival on May 11 in Mtatsminda Park between the hours 11 AM – 6 PM. Taste some delicious wine, listen to good music and take part in lottery to win full barrels of best wines!
