The French Institute of Georgia offers a digital library of more than 70,000 items to readers: books, magazines, films, audio and video recordings of concerts, other learning material and interactive albums for children.

Twice monthly Saturday sessions in the Mediatheque of the Institute sees children enjoying different cheerful stories in French through modern technologies and also interactive games using tablets.

With the support of the Culturetheque, on May 6, at 5 pm, children will have an opportunity to listen to the fairy tale “Don’t Kiss Me!”

Hosted by a French language teacher, child guests are guaranteed a fun afternoon regardless of their level of French language knowledge.

Entrance is free and everyone is welcome!

CinéDOC-Tbilisi

Supported by the Creative Europe Program for the second year, 2017 will see the 5th CinéDOC-Tbilisi film festival presenting a selection of 67 documentary films from 30 countries, numerous Q&A sessions, master classes, panel discussions and industry sections. The theme? Human Needs: solidarity, safety, passion, faith and imagination, offered in four competitive sections: International Competition, Focus Caucasus, CivilDOC, and CinéDOC-Young. CinéDOC Shorts is the novelty for 2017.

The International slection includes: ”A Marriage Story” by Helena Trestikova, ”Normal Autistic Film” by Miroslav Janek, ”You have No Idea How Much I love You” by Pawel Lozinski, ”Woman and the Glacier” by Audrius Stonys and ”Hello I am David” by Cosima Lange.

Georgian works include: “Gogita’s new life” by Levan Koguashvili, “Didube, the Last Stop” by Shorena Tevzadze, “Hitchhiking in Patagonia” by Beso Gvenetadze.
