Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hold Annual Diaspora Day

The Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a Diaspora Day in late May, bringing together representatives of diaspora organizations and Georgians working abroad in government, academia, business and civil society groups, the Ministry announced in a press release on Wednesday.

Forum participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the executive and legislative bodies of Georgia, and present on their professional experiences.

Diaspora Day, held annually, aims to deepen ties with Georgians living abroad and actively engage them in projects to modernize and develop their home country.

Diaspora Day will be held at the Ceremonial Palace of Georgia from May 27-28. The deadline to register is May 22. Additional information can be found on the Ministry’s website.
