Minister of Economy: Free Industrial Zone to be Built near Anaklia Sea Port

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Dimitri Kumsishvili announced the opening of a free industrial zone in the vicinity of Anaklia Sea Port.

“The Free industrial zone will be set up behind the Anaklia port, on 600 hectares of land, that will also create additional workplaces,” the Minister stated.

“Georgia will carry out many projects thanks to the forum,” Kumsisvili added, “a very significant project will be signed and implemented in the town of Tkbuli.”

“We have also discussed the transit potential and the possibilities the transit will have. Anaklia port will represent billions in investments. A free industrial zone will also be arranged behind the port which will lead to the creation of additional workspace,” the Minister Stated at the Silk Road Forum, on the biggest Georgian governmental activities of 2015 which is currently underway.
