Film by Georgian Filmmaker Wins Award
Rod, Lennon and Me / Story of the old photograph, a film by Georgian filmmaker Giorgi Janelidze, was presented at the Great Lakes International Film Festival, and won the award for best Documentary Short.
The Great Lakes International Film Festival is ranked among the top 10 film festivals in the world, making it a great place to get films recognized.
The festival, organized since 2002, gathers the work of independent filmmakers from around the globe, and has showcased more than 1,000 films over the last 10 years.
The film is dedicated to the 75th/35th anniversary of John Lennon and his friend, the member of his skiffle band, The Quarrymen, Rod Davis, who was later replaced by Paul McCartney.
